BEEF LIVER WITH SAUTÉED ONIONS AND APPLES

I love liver, and therefore I count myself lucky since I know most of you don’t. When I went on my healing journey from mold and lyme, and learning  about nutrition I found out how packed with nutrients liver is. So I started eating it regularly, which really helped my body heal.

Fact is, liver is one of the most nutritionally dense foods on the planet. It contains significant amounts of folate, iron, vitamin B, vitamin A, and copper. Eating a single serving of liver can help you meet your daily recommended amount of all of these vitamins and minerals, reducing your risk of nutrient deficiency.

This recipe is a favourite of mine that I’d love to share with those who dare to give it a go!

Ingredients

1 lb of beef or chicken liver
1 sweet onion
1 apple ( I like them tart)
Pepper
Salt
Optional:
Coconut aminos
Fish sauce

Preparation

Slice the onion and peel and slice the apple. Saute it in either coconut oil or ghee. Meanwhile prepare the liver, beef liver has a thin skin on it which I remove, since it will make the liver chewy. Slice it in small pieces and add to the onion and apple. Quickly saute it, just enough so it is still pink inside. Salt and pepper to taste. I sometimes add a bit of fish sauce and coconut aminos.

Voila enjoy!

Uff, this looks nice, very well presented, but I’m not sure I’m ready to try to cook liver like this! ?
